- Tools: t square, pencil, Miter saw
- Power tool: Miter Saw (MS), aka Sliding Compound Miter Saw (SCMS)
- Marking wood
- Design workflow. Learn from mistakes.
- Plywood
- Design tools. Paper, sketch, CAD / modeling. Other: clay, cardboard, foam core.
- Safety: No loose hair / clothing / jewelry. Pay attention. Don't work alone. Review the safety videos.
- Personal Protection. Eye, ear, lungs. Woodworking masks vs. infections disease masks; grit size and masks.
Day 2
- Design and layout
- Tools: band saw (BS), drill press (DP), random orbital sander (ROS), oscillating spindle sander (OSS), disc sand and belt sander.
- Safety: Binding. Where does the machine want to throw the wood? Where will your hands go if the wood disappears?
- Sandpaper, grit progression, sanding machines. Clean old grain before progression to new.
- From tree to board
